Patna, Dec. 29: Bhojpuri cinema megastar Manoj Tiwari will soon appear in Rajnikant style in a Bhojpuri film Mard No. 1.
The actor will be seen lighting cigarettes and doing aerial stunts like Rajnikant in the film. The film would release simultaneously in around 12 countries including Suriname and Mauritius.
Tiwari, speaking from Mumbai, said: “I have never met superstar Rajinikant who is famous for his unique styles in India and abroad. More than that, he is a good human being who has an idea of social responsibility. After watching his last film Robot, I got very possessive and decided to do a film like him. His fan following in the country indicates that the world has changed. Rajinikantji has crossed the borders of Tamil Nadu, and even the boundaries defining Tamil language and culture. People in the metro cities are discovering this phenomenon, who can entertain like no other.”
Asking about the kind of style he will be performing in the film, he said: “I will be seeing lighting cigarettes in the air with my pistol and fighting in the air. I may not be competing against him but I am happy that no other Bhojpuri actor has even tried to act like him. Rajniji is like a god in the film industry. Though he is aged, actresses like Aishwarya Rai are keen on working with him. What more do you expect from a person who has crossed the age of 60?”
Mard No. 1 is shot in Hyderabad with a budget of Rs 1.5 crore. Tiwari added: “The film will be released in two languages, Bhojpuri and Telugu, and will be released next month. B. Obul Subba Reddy has produced the film after making hit films like Nirahua No.1, and Khiladi No.1.”
Mard No. 1 is directed by Ramna Mongli. The star cast of the film includes famous comedian Manoj Tiger, Mukhtar Khan, Madhu, Chitti Babu, and Vikas Singh.
Talking about following his style, he said: “Many people laugh on his style but I admire it like anything. Anyone who has seen a Rajnikanth film understands that often it is not the story that makes the film a success, but Rajni’s unique style does. In the film Shivaji The Boss, he has done an extraordinary work in terms of acting and style when fighting alone with hundreds of villains. It may seem impossible but what he wants to show is different from others.”
