A 45-year-old man allegedly murdered his younger brother over trade dispute in Erasama police limits of Jagatsinghpur district.

Paradip: A 45-year-old man allegedly murdered his younger brother over trade dispute in Erasama police limits of Jagatsinghpur district.

Six persons, including the elder brother of the deceased, have been taken into custody, police said.

The body of Bikash Senapati was retrieved from near a creek at Jatadhar village in Abhaychandpur police limits.

"Senapati, who had erected prawn dyke and was doing flourishing trade, had been reported missing from his house at Gangabelari village since April 19. A missing report was also registered. After a search, his mutilated body was found dumped on Friday evening near the water body. It bore multiple injury marks. Prima facie evidence of murder was detected," said Abhaychandpur police station inspector Manoranjan Choudhury.
