Bhubaneswar, Feb. 15: The department of technical education has directed all engineering colleges, schools, and institutes under its fold to double up as facilitation centres to address queries regarding application for OJEE-2013.
Candidates facing difficulties in filling online forms may walk into any of these centres for help.
They would be equipped with Internet facilities and faculty members would guide the aspirants.
The online application process began on Wednesday and will continue till March 20. Students can log on to www.odishajee2012.com to fill up the forms.
“The online process is user-friendly. When we have the online system for Plus Two admissions, it is only logical that it is implemented for OJEE,” said convenor of All-Odisha BPUT Students’ Association, Biplab Mohanty.
“However, we will request the government to take necessary steps to avoid server trafficking, jamming and hacking of the server,” he added.
Authorities at the OJEE cell here said so far the process has been smooth.
“We have not received any complaints. If we do, we have experts who can handle the issues,” said OJEE secretary Priyabrata Sahoo.
For the first time, the authorities have made the question papers of 2011 and 2012 available for students to get accustomed to the pattern.
The state government has also decided to do away with the system of awarding negative marks for wrong answers.
