Bhubaneswar, Feb. 1: The shoot of the upcoming action-packed thriller starring Akash Dasnayak and Megha Ghose is on in full swing. No.1 Khiladi is the first venture of the city-based production house Jeet Entertainment.

No. 1 Khiladi is touted as a romantic drama with plenty of action and comedy in equal measures. The shooting is taking place in various parts of the city like Khandagiri, Ekamra Haat and Mancheswar. Certain sequences will be shot at Manali and Chandragiri.

The plot revolves around a crime reporter played by Dasnayak. The actor has a tight schedule courtesy his upcoming projects, believes the film will be a complete entertainment package.

His film Mita Basichi Mu Bhuta Sathire, the first Odia 3D movie, will be released soon. He has also signed a Bengali film Log in. Another film, Dharma, is in the post-production phase while the shooting of Guru will resume soon.

Megha too seemed upbeat about the film. “My character in the film is very interesting. She is a very reticent girl with deep religious leanings. Working with an actress like Aparajita Mohanty is an honour itself. Also, cinema goers will love to see Akash and me being cast opposite each other,” said Megha.

This will the first time the audience will get to see Megha starring opposite Akash.

Odia choreographer Dilip Kumar Swain has donned the hat of the director. “I wish the film lives up to its name,” he said. Singer Goutam Giri has written the script.

Abhijit Majumdar, whose music in the film Love Master fetched him rave reviews, is the music director. The supporting cast will include veterans like Mihir Das, Aparajita Mohnaty and Minaketan. Actors Samresh Routray and Debu Bose will also feature in the cast.

Fans of Routray, a National School of Drama alumnus, will be glad so see back in action. The actor had an appendicitis operation a few months ago and is presently focusing only on this project.

Nirmal Nayak is penning both the lyrics and dialogues. Sudhakar Basant is in charge of choreography.
