Bhubaneswar, Feb. 26: Authorities in charge of the e-evaluation of Plus Two science papers are leaving no stones unturned to ensure that everything goes error free.

The number of mathematics answer scripts to be e-evaluated on a single day has been limited to 12. For other subjects, the teachers may evaluate, according to their convenience.

Apprehending that the trained teachers do not turn up during the evaluation citing various reasons, the department made it clear that the absentees, who cited medical ground, would be referred to a medical board, which, in turn, would cross-examine their medical case. Appropriate actions will be taken based on the board's report, said an official.

It has also been made clear that the evaluators will have to compulsorily spend five hours at the evaluation centre. One chief examiner shall be appointed for eight assistant examiners. Besides increasing the remuneration fee of the evaluators, the fee for centre superintendent, deputy centre superintendent and invigilators has also been hiked to Rs 70, Rs 60 and Rs 50.

Besides AC and generator, the department has also ordered for canteen facilities at the evaluation centres, so that the evaluators can have lunch and snacks if required. Appointment of examiners will be made within the district. If teachers have to be brought from adjacent districts, the Council of Higher Secondary Education will make accommodation arrangements, especially for the female examiners.

To bring in more young computer-literate teachers, the department has reduced the experience of teachers from three to two years.

The dispatch of question papers and other related materials has started and will end by tomorrow. All the hubs have been declared as temporary treasury by the district administration and the necessary security arrangements have been made there.
