Bhubaneswar: The state government on Tuesday convened an inter-departmental meeting on dengue under the chairmanship of chief secretary Bijay Kumar Patnaik and decided to take out a “dengue rath” to spread awareness about the disease in Angul district. The meeting would now be held regularly every four or five days and the housing and urban development department would organise campaigns in every ward on cleanliness and anti-larval measures. Bhubaneswar: The state government has advised all steel plants that have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with it to recruit eligible candidates on merit who are suitable for the steel industries from Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute, Puri. The state government had also sent a letter in this regard to all the concerned plants for taking necessary steps.
