Barabati report
Bhubaneswar: Home secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy on Thursday said he had submitted his inquiry report on the throwing of bottles at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack during the T20 International match between India and South Africa on October 5. However, he refused to divulge the findings of the report.
PSU awards
Bhubaneswar: The state government has decided to give cash prize to officials and employees of various corporations functioning under it. The cash prizes are in the range of Rs 25,000 and Rs 10,000 and would be given in seven categories. Chief minister Naveen Patnaik would present the awards at a programme in April.
Agitation
Balasore: A dharna was staged by farmers in front of the district collector's residence on Thursday, where the agitators carried a body of a farmer. The deceased, identified as Ramakrishna Nayak, 40, of Kusuda village under Bhograi block, died in a Cuttack hospital. He consumed pesticide on Saturday.
Body found
Sambalpur: The body of an unidentified man, aged around 45, was found in a decomposed state in Arda village in Dhama on Wednesday. The villagers first spotted the body.
