Chief minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurates a water reservoir at Raghunath Nagar, Dumduma, on Friday. The reservoir would meet the needs of around 10,000 people residing at Raghunath Nagar, Satya Nagar, Sastri Nagar and Barabari.
With civic polls round the corner, Naveen was on an inauguration spree throughout the day. Apart from the reservoir, he laid foundation stones for a sewage project at Dumduma Phase-I and drinking water projects at Dumuduma and Jadupur.
He also inaugurated two community centres in wards No. 59 and 60. “The state government has taken many initiatives for development of urban areas. Special attention is being given to the improvement of roads and drinking water, sanitation and electrification facilities,” said Naveen.
