Cuttack: The Dhal Samant brothers, accused of abducting and murdering two of their associates four years ago, went to trial at the court of the district and sessions judge here on Wednesday.

The prosecution presented Manoj's mother Shantilata Mallick as the first witness.

"After the recording of evidence, the trial court fixed April 14 for examination by the prosecution and cross-examination by the defence", said the brothers' counsel Sauri Mohapatra.
