Cuttack, Feb. 16: Bidanasi police today began investigation into the mysterious death of an engineering student at a private nursing home here.

The deceased has been identified as Mihir Nayak, 19, a third-year civil engineering student at Koustuv College in Bhubaneswar.

Mihir, who hails from Kendrapara, was staying at a private mess at Damana Square. Four unidentified persons had admitted him to Shifa Nursing Home at Bidanasi 8 pm yesterday saying that he was injured in a road mishap. However, the body carried no external injury marks.

“We have registered a case under sections 279 and 304(A) of the IPC as the exact place of accident is not clear till now,” said inspector in charge of Bidanasi police station Rabi Narayan Barik.
