Bhubaneswar, June 10: Counselling for Odisha JEE 2013 commenced today and will continue till June 21.
As many as 95,278 students will take part in the OJEE counselling for admission into engineering, pharmacy, MBA, MCA and dual degree courses at 98 technical colleges in the state. OJEE-qualified students can register their names, mentioning roll numbers, date of birth and the 16-digit barcode, to choose colleges and streams as well.
“From this year onwards, students can check the performance record of institutes for the past four years before taking a decision,” said OJEE secretary Priyabrata Sahoo.
He said students should make the enough choices so that they do not face problem in future. The officials cautioned that students must not give away their passwords to anyone to avoid being duped.
“Students must make their decision judiciously and not get influenced by false promises,” he said.
Students will have to report at nodal centres from June 13 to June 21 during which time they may deposit counselling and university registration fees, document verification and choice locking. This year, 25 nodal centres have been set up with CCTV and video recording facilities. The provisional allotment list will be out on June 25 and the final allotment list on June 26. Students will report at the final allotted institutes on July 1.
“The detailed rank-wise schedule for reporting to nodal centres for engineering stream is notified on the OJEE website www.odishajee.com. However the rank-wise schedule for reporting to nodal centres for MBA and MCA is subject to declaration of final year results of BPUT and other universities,” said the OJEE secretary.
Students can also call the helpline number 0674-3242455 for assistance. The nodal centres in Bhubaneswar are BJB Junior College, Bhubaneswar, Centre for IT Education, Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology and College of Engineering and Technology.
To avoid unnecessary rush, advertising booths and persons accompanying the students will not be allowed at the centres, Sahoo said.
