Paradip, May 18: Anti-Posco leader and former CPI MLA Narayan Reddy, who was behind the bars for the past six months, was released from Kujang sub-jail today after a local court granted him bail.

Reddy, who spearheaded the resistance movement against the steel project following the arrest of Posco Pratirodh Sangram Samiti president Abhaya Sahu, had been taken into judicial custody by local police on December 24 last year.

After Reddy was granted bail by the judicial magistrate first class, Kujang, he said: “I have faith in the judiciary. I was framed. Fight against Posco would continue.”
