
Guwahati, March 15: Superstar Amitabh Bachchan is one of the singers who has lent his voice to the theme song of the Namami Brahmaputra river festival, which will be held here from March 31 to April 4.
An official source today said recording of the song, composed by Angarag Papon Mahanta, is over and it will be released in the next two to three days.
Apart from Bachchan, singers Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh, Abhijeet and others have also sung parts of the song.
Bachchan today uploaded a few pictures on Twitter of him recording the song.
Billed the "biggest river festival of India", Namami Brahmaputra will be held in the 21 districts of the state through which the river flows. It will showcase the region's art, heritage and culture.
The opening and closing ceremonies will be held in Guwahati.
"The event will take off in a spectacular opening ceremony at the riverfront of Bharalumukh here on March 31. It will include a soulful veneration of the Brahmaputra, along with other attractions like indigenous sports, local food, exhibition of organic tea, display of handloom and handicrafts, cultural evenings, film festival, business meetings and a symposium," the source said.
"The conclusion of the event shall be equally spectacular with a grand closing ceremony on April 4," he added.
