We say with great pride that much like the unfolding chapters of a child's growth, our 'child,' The Telegraph Online Edugraph 18 Under 18 Awards 2024, is gradually maturing into an illustrious recognition that transcends city limits, touching the lives of students, parents, educators, and mentors in the farthest corners of the country.
Be prepared to witness the magic this year for nominations have poured in from a quaint town called Margherita in Assam; the ‘land of red soil’ Bankura; the serene town of Singtam tucked away in the interiors of Sikkim, and Sabroom in Tripura, a historical town situated at the intersection of India and Bangladesh; only to name a few. In fact, in this year’s awards, a symphony of recognition has echoed inasmuch as we have received 2500 nominations from over 350 schools spanning the states of West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh
Ranging from the traditional realms of Sports, Dance, Music, and Photography to the extraordinary domains of Puppetry, Entrepreneurship/ Leadership, Nature/ Environment Conservation, Social Work, Cubing, and Mountaineering etc, the sheer diversity of talent this season is nothing short of a marvel!
Now with the curtains drawn on the nomination phase, a panel of esteemed educationists and editors will meticulously sift through the entries, selecting 50 finalists. Subsequently, these outstanding young talents will face the scrutiny of a special jury during online interviews, culminating in the unveiling of the 18 winners at the Grand Finale to be hosted in January 2024! Also, don't forget the Popular Choice Award, where online voters will have the final say in honouring exemplary achievements!
