Young style stars

STYLE GIRLS: Rini Choudhury (centre) was crowned the winner of Lakme 9 to 5 CC Ebela Style Star at Park Plaza on November 8. Trishita Ghosal (left) was the first runner-up and Sushma Tibriwal the second runner-up. Rini, Trishita and Sushma were among the Top 10 who were picked by fashion designer Agnimitra Paul, who also designed costumes for the girls, and make-up artist Abhijit Chanda, from a pool of 50. Agnimitra and Abhijit were joined by fashion photographer Sanat Ghosh on the jury bench at the finale. For Rini, it was an evening of many firsts — “first time at a beauty pageant” and first time in heels. And what an evening it turned out to be for the software engineer! “All I wanted was to walk the ramp smoothly, without tripping. I was not expecting my name to be announced, so it took a few seconds to realise I was the winner!” gushed Rini. While Trishita is a third-year sociology student at Sarojini Naidu College for Women, Sushma is a final-year Masters student of history at Presidency University.
