What: Remembering Our Heritage

Where: The Astor

When: Till August 7, noon-4pm, 7pm-11pm

Expect: A throwback to the glory days. This food fest recalls the recipes made in The Astor 30 years ago, reviving kebabs long-forgotten. Try Chilman Paneer (cottage cheese, coated with a creamy and aromatic marinade that almost covers it), Mushroom Moti Tikki (stuffed mushrooms cooked in the tandoor) and Akhbari Murg (chicken stuffed with herbs and spices and served whole). 

Pocket pinch: Rs 1,800-plus for two.

Where: Bombay Brasserie, Quest mall

When: Till July 31, noon-3.30pm, 7pm-11.15pm

Expect: Seafood in every form you love: grilled, steamed, baked or even in curries. Think Prawns Kali Mirch (char-grilled prawns with pounded black pepper), Lal Mirch Tandoori Crab (slow-cooked in the tandoor with roasted red chillies), Punjabi Squid, Beach Prawn Buns (Goan style, stuffed with spiced and tangy prawn chilli fry), Meen Moilee (bekti fish in Kerala coconut curry), Bengal’s Maachher Rani (the queen of fish, hilsa, with Bengali mustard), Malvani Prawns (prawns in a hot and spicy special coastal masala spice mix).
