DEAR SHUTTERBUGS, T2 CLICK HAS ZOOMED INTO TWO OF YOUR FAVE HANGOUTS — CROSSWORD ELGIN ROAD AND CITY CENTRE SALT LAKE. SNAP THAT! Sreyoshi Dey Pictures: Pabitra Das And Anindya Shankar Ray Published 13.04.13, 12:00 AM

November 14, 2012: t2 Click is officially unveiled as a dedicated space for photography lovers in the pages of t2.

April 10-11, 2013: t2 Click gets a home in two hangouts of Calcutta — City Centre, Salt Lake and Crossword, Elgin Road.

On Wednesday, actor-director Parambrata Chattopadhyay inaugurated a unique space at Crossword, Elgin Road — the t2 Click Gallery.

A day later, his Ekla Akash co-star Parno Mittra inaugurated a similar gallery at City Centre, Salt Lake (Block-A, ground floor).

The t2 Click Gallery is a dedicated space to showcase photographs clicked by t2 readers and sent for the t2 Click initiative that has prompted shutterbugs to go click-click for the past five months.

“I had quite liked the idea and tweeted about this,” said Parambrata, walking into Crossword. He had tweeted on November 4, 2012: The t2 Click featuring photowalk snaps from readers is a great initiative must say! And what gems some of them!! (@paramspeak)

Surprised when told that over 2,000 emails pour in for t2 Click every month, the Hawa Bodol director exclaimed: “Babare! Shortlisting them must be a full-time job!”

On Thursday, Parno Mittra dropped in at City Centre, Salt Lake. Scouting through the 18 mounted photographs (en route to the Blue and Blues outlet on the ground floor) the ‘Girlfriend’ stopped in her tracks ever so often.

“I usually like black-and- white pictures. My father was a photographer, so I have witnessed some really good clicks. Even I tried going behind the camera, but I sucked at it,” laughed Parno.

“We wanted to provide a platform for budding photographers because there aren’t too many places where they can show off their skills. Who knows, one day one of them could become the next Raghu Rai,” said Ramesh Pandey, the deputy general manager, brand & corporate communication, Ambuja Realty.

Entries for t2 Click will now be shortlisted not only for t2 and the t2 Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ thetelegrapht2), but also the Crossword and City Centre galleries.

This month’s theme is ‘Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo’. Interpret it your own way and send in one click per person to t2click@abp.in.

Happy clicking!
