Forget Facebook, forget Instagram; for GenY, it hasn’t happened unless it’s on Snapchat. And everyone has their own Snapchat style. Check out the list below and see what kind of Snapchatter you are! 
♦ The artist: This user goes all ‘Picasso’ on all pictures. Every snap comes with a paint job and other creative inputs — from a Hitler ’stache on the bellowing prof to bunny ears on the BFF.  
♦ The gym freak: Usually a guy, this one posts near-naked pictures of himself with flexed muscles or sweaty abs with the text saying things like #Dedication or #NoPainNoGain (plus, the flexed biceps emoji), disrupting your cheeseburst pizza binge. 
♦ The show-off: This one makes it seem as if their life is SO much better than yours. They have it all — the coolest campus, the hottest bae, the hippest hangouts, the best holidays. And they show off with incessant snaps all day. 
♦ The selfie sender: Perhaps the most common type of Snapchatter, they will send you a picture of their face regardless of the circumstances. Whether they’re at college, lounging in bed or stuck in traffic, you will receive a picture of their face. 
♦ The filter friend: It’s been months since you’ve seen their actual face and you’d probably not even recognise them if you saw them on the road, such is their mastery over Snapchat filters. 
♦ The storyteller: Brevity is not their strength. They will sap you of your patience with their long, boring story. Not only does it take annoyingly long to load, it also makes you oh-so-angry when you finally watch it and realise it was completely pointless.
♦ The alcoholic: This Snapchatter is addicted, not to alcohol but to posting pictures of alcoholic beverages, every day. Pictures of bottles lined up with a cheeky caption is their usual act. Or cocktails and cocky captions. 
♦ The foodie: Every post is a delish-looking dish, making your tummy rumble in the middle of a lecture, with the prospect of only canteen fare up ahead. Makes you wonder how they are able to afford such culinary luxuries or if they randomly chat up strangers at restaurants just to snap their food!
