Detective Eken Babu is back to unravel another mystery this Poila Baisakh

The trailer of The Eken — Ruddhaswas Rajasthan was launched recently at The Heritage Academy. The trailer of the mystery thriller directed by Joydeep Mukherjee centres on Eken Babu (Anirban Chakrabarti) and his two companions played by Suhotra Mukhopadhyay and Somak Ghosh. While on vacation in Rajasthan, a mystery unravels. Professor of archaeology at Oxford University, Shatadru Ghosh, played by Rajatava Dutta, alerts Eken Babu about an idol he had seen in London that has gone missing. The film also features Rajesh Sharma who plays a professor of chemistry and a relic preserver.

“Eken Babu is a special figure in my journey. We spent a lot of time filming in Rajasthan, and the audience will undoubtedly enjoy this captivating experience,” said Anirban.

“Honestly, being a part of this franchise always feels amazing, and the audience never fails to demonstrate their appreciation for us. They think of us as their own. The Eken is now a cult figure and we would love our audience to join their favourite Bengali detective on the big screen this Poila Baisakh,” said Suhotra and Somak.

Sandipta Sen plays the role of a curator at the Jaisalmer Museum. “Eken is loved by all age groups, and it was quite a fun experience shooting in the exotic locations of Rajasthan. Since I cannot reveal much about my character, the audience needs to wait for the release... and fingers crossed, hope they’ll love it,” said Sandipta.
