Drishyam 2 opened to a tumultuous response from the audience on November 18, registering the second-best opening among Hindi films in 2022, after Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra: Part 1 - Shiva. While Drishyam 2 continued to dominate the box office this week, Revathy’s third directorial venture Salaam Venky, starring Kajol, opened to lukewarm response from the audience.
