Patna, Sept. 8: A day after the blast outside Delhi High Court, the Patna district judge today convened a meeting to assess the security arrangements on the district court premises.

A decision was taken that all lawyers and advocate clerks would have to carry their identity (ID) cards to enter the court. Class III and IV employees of the court too would have to wear their ID cards.

Security personnel would move around in civil dress and keep tabs on the movement and activities of visitors coming to the court.

Visitors would have to co-operate with security personnel in case they ask for their verification of identity.

No one would be allowed to park any vehicle near the main entrance of the court.

The meeting also decided that litigants’ vehicles would not be allowed entry into the court premises. A formal request would be sent to the authorities concerned to hike the number of security personnel deputed for the court’s security.

Apart from district judge V.N. Mishra, some of the prominent participants in the Thursday meeting were additional district judge D.K. Pandey, chief judicial magistrate R.K. Yadav and registrar Narendra Kumar.
