Patna, July 29: Loyola Alumni Association is committed to revive Summer of ’69. The golden era may not return but the magic would if the association manages to go according to its plan and restart the trend of rock bands and one-act plays in schools.

The alumni association, which got new office bearers today, is planning to organise an inter-school one-act play competition. Amar Jaiswal, who has been elected the association’s president again, said: “The motive is to promote one-act plays, which have almost been forgotten. We are planning to organise inter-school one-act play competition. We will ensure maximum participation in the event so that the activity gains popularity.”

Vishal Kapoor, the new secretary of the association, said: “We are also planning to bring back the trend of 1970s and 80s to the city schools. Then, students used to form rock bands and perform on the school’s annual day. We would also hold inter-school rock contest so that children get involved in such activities.”
