The Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited has been awarded gold medal for making ample use of information technology in the energy sector, especially in billing and payment systems, at the 21st national conference on e-governance held at Hyderabad on February 26 and 27.

The Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited has been awarded gold medal for making ample use of information technology in the energy sector, especially in billing and payment systems, at the 21st national conference on e-governance held at Hyderabad on February 26 and 27.

The award, under "smart energy infrastructure and revenue administration system project", carries a prize of Rs 2 lakh. South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited managing director (MD) R. Lakshmanan and North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited MD Sandeep Kumar R. Pudakalkatti received the medal on behalf of the power holding company from (centre) Jitendra Singh, the minister of state (independent charge) for personnel, public grievances and pension, late on Tuesday night. Several other power holding company officials were present.
