Patna: Bihar State Electricity Board on Thursday announced that 33KV Pesu IV and V feeders would be shut down for maintenance work on Friday for two hours from noon. upply would be affected in areas, including Ashok Nagar, Defence Colony, Khemnichak.

Cop shot at

Darbhanga: Santosh Kumar, a sub-inspector of police, was shot at by a criminal when the former tried to overpower him during a raid near the railway level crossing at Alapatti under Laheria Sarai police station on Wednesday night.

Rebel death

Aurangabad: A sub-zonal commander of Maoists, Madan Yadav, who was arrested on Wednesday evening, died in police custody at Barun police station in the district on Thursday. Chief minister Nitish Kumar has ordered a probe.

Gopalganj: A mother and her three children were burnt to death at Koreya village under Bhore police station on Wednesday evening. The woman’s brother lodged an FIR on Thursday against her husband and in-laws.
