A crane removes a bus that fell on its side on the Chiraiyatand Bridge in Patna on Tuesday. The bus (JH 17D 0192) on route number 6 (Mithapur bus stand to Rajendra Nagar) met with the accident after the driver lost control around 11am. The incident occurred on the flyover near the Karbhigaiya end of Patna Junction. The area falls under the jurisdiction of Jakkanpur police station. Four passengers were injured in the accident. They were rushed to the Patna Medical College and Hospital. Sources said their condition was stable. The driver managed to escape. Police said the reason for the accident was overspeeding. “As the bus was only half-full, there were no serious injuries. We are searching for the driver,” said an officer.
