Chhapra, Nov. 5: The decomposed body of a woman, allegedly killed by her husband, was unearthed from their house at Masrakh in the district today.

Vidya Rai was arrested for allegedly burning Prabhavati Devi (30) alive following an altercation on November 1 and burying her body in the compound of the house.

Masrakh police station in-charge Kapur Nath Sharma said Vidya’s neighbours today told the police that a stench was emanating from the compound of the house. Following this, a police team went to the house and unearthed Prabhavati’s body.
