Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) termed Nitish Kumar's report card a bunch of lies and accused him of giving a free hand to criminals after joining hands with the RJD.
On a day when chief minister Nitish Kumar announced his report card, LJP national secretary Satyanand Sharma said: "There is a huge difference between Nitish's report card and the ground reality." LJP, the party led by Union food and consumer protection minister Ram Vilas Paswan with six MPs from Bihar, termed that there had been rise in the crime graph in the state in the past year.
Sharma, who contested the 2014 general election from Nalanda, said: "There has been 70 per cent rise in incidents of crime in 2014-15. Abduction cases have increased by four per cent, while murder-related crimes have witnessed an upsurge of 38 per cent."
The LJP national secretary was accompanied by the party's state spokesperson, Lalan Chandravanshi. He said though chief minister Nitish Kumar was beating the drum to claim credit in improvement of power connectivity in the state, there were more than 40 per cent villages, which had no power connectivity.
The LJP leaders claimed the worst condition was that of the farmers, who were facing large-scale anomalies in diesel subsidy and they were not even receiving seeds and fertilisers. On the issue of atrocities against the Dalits and Mahadalits, the LJP leadership claimed that atrocities on Dalits had gone up by 10 times and the Kalyan Chhatarvas for Dalit students lacked even basic amenities such as power and water connectivity.
