| Akash Nemani, co-founder of Singapore-based company iTwin, makes a presentation at Technika, the annual fest of Birla Institute of Technology, in the state capital on Sunday. Nemani’s lecture focused on cloud computing, which allows storage of data in a server at a remote location with features like full security, reliability and freedom of choice. Cloud users receive computing as a service rather than a product, and they do not need to know about the location of the infrastructure. Nemani also spoke about iTwin — an award-winning USB (universal serial bus) device — that allows secured file transfer between two computers anywhere in the world. Apart from Nemani’s lecture, a number of competitions such as robotics were scheduled for the day. The four-day tech fest began on Saturday. Technika aims to combine the fun of the festival with technical skills of budding techies. Text by Roshan Kumar, Telegraph picture |
