Growth tale reaches Cook land

Showcasing the rapid growth story of the state during his 10-day visit to Great Britain, rural development minister Nitish Mishra invited UK-based investors to Bihar to explore the potential of the agro-based industries.

Mishra was in the land of Engalnd cricket team captain Alastair Cook from December 8 to December 17. He watched the proceedings at the House of Lords and the House of Commons.

Sharing the details of his tour abroad with reporters in the state capital on Monday, Nitish said he spoke on Bihar’s growth at a seminar at Institute of Development Studies on December 10. The next day, he met parliamentary under secretary of state, Wales office, Baroness Randerson.

Mishra also met the UK India Business Council members. He urged them to visit Bihar to gauge its agro-based industry and export potential.

During his visit to Patna village in Scotland, he spoke on the possibility of a tourism exchange programme.
