Siwan, June 6: A four-year-old girl was killed while her mother and two sisters suffered grievous injuries in a bomb blast at their home at Suryapura village last night.

Shilpee Kumari died on the spot while her mother, Devamnti Devi, and sisters — Pushpa and Puja — were being treated at Basantpur hospital. Both legs of Pushpa were severely injured in the blast.

Devanti told the police that her husband Madan’s brother Tarkeshwar had hurled the bomb at their house as he wanted to eliminate the daughters who had legitimate rights over their grandfather’s property. Tarkeshwar had threatened the family earlier, she added.
