The mood was anything but dull as around 200 students, brimming with excitement, displayed their scientific knowledge at an exhibition on Sunday.

Organised by Jaintpur Public School, students braved the cold weather to turn up and exhibit their creations.

The theme of the models for the junior wing were Swachh Bharat and Mars mission, while that of the seniors were weather and climate, emerging India, contribution of science in man's life, applied mathematics in scientific age and role of ancient epic in discovery and investigation.

Gaurav Kumar of Class VII, who had come up with a model on energy conservation, was declared the winner of the senior wing and Ujala Kumari, with a model on importance of hygiene, emerged the best among the juniors.

Transport minister Ramai Ram, who was the chief guest on the occasion, encouraged the students and patted their backs. Teachers of several schools, too, were present.

Langat Singh College principal Amrendra Narayan Yadav too paid a visit and discussed the projects with the students.

Neha Singh, mother of Shimmi (Class III), who took part for the first time in the science exhibition, was overwhelmed to see the creation of her daughter.

So was Varsha Rani, whose daughter Priya's model on energy conservation grabbed eyeballs. 'I am thrilled to see a huge response of visitors,' Varsha said.

Former Union Minister Usha Sinha said: 'The way these budding scientists have developed innovative scientific models, speaks volumes of their creativity. These exhibits on different topics ensures a pool of good scientists in the future.
