R-Day suicide threat

Bhojpur: The chairperson of Jagdishpur Nagar Parishad, Reeta Kumari, has threatened to immolate herself on Republic Day. She accused the government of overlooking her demand of developing the historical fort of freedom fighter Veer Kuer Singh as a tourist spot in Bhojpur.

I shall immolate myself on January 26 because no one is paying heed to my demand. This fort may emerge as one of the highest revenue-generating tourist sites in the coming days,” she said.
