Bhubaneswar: A special edition of the Kalinga Literary Festival will be hosted in the city next month.

Mystic Kalinga, an international festival of poetry, will be held to rekindle the romance with literature and foster reading and writing habits, especially among the youth.

Godman Jaggi Vasudev is scheduled to inaugurate the festival where poets and even Bollywood lyricists such as Sameer Anjan and Sagar Sarhadi will take part.

Vasudev will speak on his book and reflect upon his literary and spiritual journey. Leading poet and writer Arundhathi Subramaniam will discuss with Vasudev on his new book Adiyogi: The Source of Yoga.

Cultural personalities, such as Ramakanta Rath, Sitakanta Mahapatra, Jayanta Mohapatra, Pratibha Ray, Pratibha Satpathy, Soubagya Mishra, Hriskesh Mallick, Gourahari Das, Sameer Anjan, Prasoon Joshi, Arundhathi Subramaniam, Sagar Sarhadi, Jayanta Kripalani, Fani Mohanty, Paramita Satpathy, Keki Daruwala, Sabyasachi Mohapatra, Nila Madab Panda, Sudarshan Patnaik, Kedar Mishra, Amaresh Patnaik, Hariar Mishra, Asutosh Parida, Durga Panda, Surya Mishra, Gayatri Bala Panda, Saira Shah Halim, Ruchita Kazaria, Kooky Tuason, Marty Tengco, Jing Reyna-Jorge, Cecilia G. Artates, Noriko Mizusaki, Pranesh Prasad, Jacob Isaac, R.K. Dash and others will grace the occasion .

"Mystic Kalinga is an emerging platform of poets and performers designed to promote young mind's participation in art, culture and creative dialogue with the past, present and future," said Rashmi Ranjan Parida, director of the festival.

The central theme of the event is asheem, which in English refers to tanscending boundaries. "In Odia, this means without boundaries. Translated into English it refers to limitlessness, indefinite, boundless, universal and unlimited," he added.
