Self-sustainable varsity hospital to be set up in Tripura

The HP Kapital would promote its high-end medical system via the use of ayurvedic philosophy.

Tripura will soon set up a self-sustainable university hospital and integrated healthcare system of international standard which will pave the way for making the state a hub of medical tourism.

A press release from chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb’s office on Thursday stated if everything goes according to plan, Tripura will have a self-sustainable university hospital and integrated healthcare system.

“A delegation from HP Kapital, London, met Deb in New Delhi on Wednesday and expressed desire to invest in Tripura in the field of healthcare. The chief minister held threadbare discussions on the proposal,” the release said.

The HP Kapital would promote its high-end medical system via the use of ayurvedic philosophy.

Deb also tweeted, “Today met with the delegates from HP Kapital, London and had detailed discussion on their proposal for setting up a Self Sustainable University Hospital & Integrated Healthcare system in Tripura. We are committed to upgrading the healthcare sector of State and want to make Tripura a hub of Medical tourism which in return will also, generate revenue and employment opportunities for youths.”

He assured the delegation that the government would extend all possible support.

HP Kapital in its proposal has expressed interest in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plans to set up polyclinics and wellness centres under Ayushman Yojana across the country.

In this context, the company intends to open 35 self-sustainable university hospitals and about 100 polyclinics across the country.
