Kolkata Knight Riders are confident that their bowlers will be able to deliver against Chennai Super Kings even though they go into Wednesday’s game after conceding in excess of 200 versus Delhi Capitals.

A fair experience of the Sheikh Zayed Stadium pitch as well as the size of the ground appears to be instilling confidence in the KKR bowlers. According to Rahul Tripathi, the likes of Pat Cummins, Shivam Mavi and Kamlesh Nagarkoti should be able to give a tough time to Super Kings’ in-form openers Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis.

“The last time when we played in Abu Dhabi (versus Sunrisers Hyderabad), all the bowlers really contributed. We’ve some experience of bowling on the pitch here.

The scenario changes completely from how things were at Sharjah. So I think our bowlers will give a tough time to Super Kings batsmen,” Tripathi, who impressed in his first appearance for KKR with a cracking 36 against the Capitals, said on Tuesday.
