Calcutta: Darren Bravo revealed that watching video clippings of his first cousin, the legendary Brian Lara, inspired him to record a match-winning show in West Indies' 100-run win over South Africa in Barbados on Friday.

The win helped the West Indies make the tri-series final where they face Australia on Sunday.

In what Bravo said as his best innings of his ODI career so far, the left-hander scored a century and shared a 156-run stand for the fifth wicket with Kieron Pollard (62) after the West Indies were reduced to 21/4.

Terming the former captain as his inspiration, watching highlights of Lara was the secret to Bravo's brilliant knock. "I haven't spoken to him for some time now. But last night before I went to bed, I looked at some of his clippings on YouTube," said Bravo.

"That's my boy... That's my role model... That's my inspiration... So, when I'm struggling, I always go back to him.

"If I'm not speaking to him, I'll always go back and look at him on YouTube ".
