Bhubaneswar, May 26: Odia actor Pitobash has all the reasons to be on cloud nine. The Mumbai-based actor, who was seen in cameo roles in several Hindi films, has bagged a significant role in the upcoming Hollywood flick, Million Dollar Arm.

The cast and crew of the film wound up its shoot in Lucknow recently and would be heading to Agra to shoot some more scenes.

A major part of the film will be shot in the US. Pitobash is immensely excited and cannot hold back his emotions.

“If Walt Disney is associated with a film, what else can be said about the project? This is a huge moment for me as I have entered the international arena now. Though I am not allowed to say anything about the film, I can assure you that my character is a very important one in the movie,” said the actor.

Initially, Pitobash was called for the look and screen test, which he passed. He now wishes to be part of the league of Indian actors such as Irrfan Khan and Freida Pinto who are slowly carving out a space for themselves in Hollywood.

The film also features Life of Pi protagonist Suraj Sharma and American TV and film artiste John Hamm.

The plot revolves around the true story of a sport agent identifying two Indian teenagers and grooming them to be part of a baseball team.

Pitobash praised his co-actors and could not stop raving about his director Craig Gillespie saying that he is learning a lot from the experienced filmmaker.

It appears that Pitobash is riding high on luck. While his Hindi movie, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2, is slated for an August release, he recently got a chance to shoot for an advertisement with none other than Amitabh Bachchan.

“Though he is a legendary figure in Indian cinema, he is very humble and professional. I was fortunate to work with him,” said Pitobash.

Born in a small village of Deuli near Nayagarh in Odisha, Pitobash, an engineer-turned-actor, has doled out acclaimed performances in films such as Shor in the City and Shanghai.
