Jobs galore for XIMB students

Bhubaneswar, March 8: Nearly 20 students of Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar (XIMB) have chosen to take up government jobs.

These students have preferred jobs in Odisha Livelihood mission, Bihar livelihood mission, All-India Disaster Mitigation Institute and All India Society for Electronics and Computer Technology, indicating a growing interest in the development sector.

Students were offered jobs by Amul, Ceat Tyres, Bajaj Auto Finance, Monsanto, UCO bank and Jeevika.

The highest domestic salary offered was Rs 9.65 lakh.

A total of 179 students of the postgraduate diploma in management programme were placed in over 70 companies.

While the highest domestic salary stood at Rs 17.25 lakh per annum, the average annual salary was Rs 11.81 lakh.

Three students of the institute received international offers with a package of $69,000 per annum.
