Bhubaneswar, July 5: The centralised manual counselling for medical and lateral entry into pharmacy and architecture under the Orissa Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE)-2011 will be conducted at one centre in the capital — College of Engineering and Technology.
While the counselling date for medical (MBBS and BDS) courses is July 14 and 15, for lateral entry into pharmacy and architecture, it is July 16 and 17. OJEE authorities said that under the medical stream, nearly 2,200 candidates had qualified for admission against around 500 seats for MBBS and 117 for BDS. In lateral entry for pharmacy and architecture, the number of seats is 86 and 60, respectively. This system of manual counselling would also be applicable to candidates applying for MBA (July 12) and PGDM, PGCM and PGDM (executive) courses (July 10) at the same venue. Here are the steps that you can follow for centralised manual counselling for admission into the different courses:
Report to the venue on the specified dates with your rank card, original and photocopies of necessary documents as mentioned in the counselling brochure. Register yourself at the reporting counter. You will then be forwarded to the verification counter. Submit a set of the self-attested photocopies. Post-verification, take back the original documents.
Submit a demand draft of Rs 450 towards counselling fee at the bank counter in favour of OJEE-2011 payable in Bhubaneswar. This fee is non-refundable.
Now, go to the choice filling-cum-allotment counter. Here the seat matrix for different colleges and streams will be displayed on the screen. On this basis, fill up your choices on a pre-printed form at this counter. You would be allotted the seat of your choice, subject to availability and merit.
If you have been allotted a government college, deposit the part admission fee of Rs 16,000. For a private institution, pay Rs 30,000 in the form of a bank draft in favour of OJEE-2011 payable in Bhubaneswar.
You would then be required to report to the allotted college for admission within seven days, along with the printout of the allotment list and payment slip.
Classes in medical institutions are slated to commence from August 1 as per the guidelines of the Medical Council of India (MCI).
Candidates who have not received their rank cards or have misplaced it are required to collect a duplicate copy from the JEE Cell at Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar by submitting a demand draft of Rs 200.
