Bhubaneswar, Oct. 9: Movie lovers would be spoilt for choice as many films are ready to enthral the audience this Puja.
The films are also expected to vie for a good business.
Starring Amlan Das and Riya Dey as the lead pair, the story of Tu Mo Dehara Chaai is based on a father-son relationship. Claiming it to be a clear departure from the traditional commercial format, the story promises to have strong elements of suspense. The film also features a fight sequence between real life father-son duo — veteran actor Mihir Das and Amlan. Under the direction of Chandi Parija, the film with an enticing plot would be hoping to provide Odia film audience a great movie viewing experience.
Amlan started his career with Target opposite Bengali actress Jhilik Bhattacharjee. But this festive season, the effervescent actress would be seen romancing chocolate boy Babushan in Akhire Akhire. Susant Mani has directed the romantic comedy, which also stars Siddhant Mohapatra. “The film has a very modern look and feel, rarely seen in Odia films,” said the director, who is riding high on the success of his last film Mu Eka Tumara.
Siddhant would also be seen in Mu Raja Tu Rani where heartthrob of Odia film industry Arindam would be paired opposite starlet and debutante Sambhabana Mohanty. “I had received offers earlier as well, but I was waiting for a good banner, script and a role with some meat in it,” said the daughter of actress Snigdha Mohanty. The film is a love story between a cop and a criminal. Sudhansu Mohan Sahu has directed it and Malay Mishra scored the music.
Superstar Anubhav Mohanty would be seen with none other than Barsha Priyadarshini in the film Kehi Jane Bhala Lagere. The couple have always been a hot favourite among the Odia cine-goers. According to director Murali Krishna, the beauty of the film lies in its heart warming love story and the style of narration. While Anubhav’s character is rich and scared of commitment, his ladylove though belongs to a wealthy family, strictly adheres to the family values and traditions. Abhijit Mazumdar’s music and the songs sung by Krishna Beura, Baba Sehgal, Amit Kumar, Pamela Jain and others would add an extra shimmer to the film.
