Bhubaneswar, Jan. 12: The Council of Higher Secondary Education has hiked the fees for issuing Plus Two certificates and mark sheets.
The executive committee of the council made the decision for fee revision.
Earlier, the students had to pay Rs 25 for a duplicate mark sheet or provisional certificate. They will now have to pay Rs 100.
If someone requires the provisional certificate within five days and the mark sheet within 10 days, the council will charge Rs 150 instead of Rs 35. If a student fails to collect the original certificate from the college concerned, he or she will be required to pay Rs 300 to the council for it.
If the certificate is not collected within a year, then the student has to pay Rs 100 extra for every subsequent year.
For a duplicate of Plus Two certificate, the council has decided to charge Rs 1,000. The current fee is Rs 180.
Council chairman Basudeb Chhatoi said the fees had not been revised for over a decade while the cost of everything else had gone up.
The revised fee has been implemented ahead of the Plus Two examinations, starting from February 19.
About three lakh students will take the examinations this year.
