Bhubaneswar: The economic offences wing (EOW) of state police's crime branch arrested Kalakahnu Bisoi and his wife Monalisha Senapati in connection with a money deposit collection scam case on Wednesday.

The police said both the accused had floated a money deposit collection company in the 2014-15 financial year and collected investments in crores with the promise of high interest from gullible investors from across the state.

The EOW had registered a case against the two alleged criminals in March 2015 after a slew of complaints were registered against them.
