Balasore, Oct. 26: Police today arrested four persons, including a woman, in connection with a Rs 11.70 lakh cash robbery at a Gramya Bank branch in Bidu on October 22.

The arrested were Ratikanta Mohanty, 24, Pagulu Mohanty, 21, both of Uttara Chhak, Sabita Mohanty, 28, and her husband Harish Chandra Mohanty, 33, both from Srikrushnapur village in Remuna. Ratikanta and Pagulu were said to be kingpin of the gang.

Sub-divisional police officer Siba Prasad Mallick said: “Among the absconders, there is one album star.” He is absconding.

The police recovered property worth about Rs 9 lakh, including gold ornaments weighing about 250gm worth Rs 8 lakh and Rs 1.15 lakh cash from their possession. Moreover, they seized one pistol, two live cartridges, one dagger, five cell phones and a motorbike used to execute the crime.
