Balasore, March 20: A local sub-divisional judicial magistrate today imposed prohibitory orders in the area and stopped the inauguration of a school apprehending law and order problems.

A group of local residents had demonstrated on Saturday in front of the plot near Station Square alleging that the institution was being set up on a disputed land and the leasing was made illegally.

The district police chief had yesterday expressed apprehension to the local sub-divisional judicial magistrate that opening of the school amid protests might lead to law and order problems.

"We deployed two sections of police to maintain law and order after we received prohibitory orders from the court," said Sahadevkhunta police station inspector in-charge Bijay Kumar Murmu .
