Cops crack TTE murder mystery

Police claimed to have solved the murder of a 31-year-old travelling ticket examiner (TTE) with the help of a mobile phone tracker.

Cuttack: Police claimed to have solved the murder of a 31-year-old travelling ticket examiner (TTE) with the help of a mobile phone tracker.

A Chauliaganj police station team picked up a suspect, Sunil Sahu, 20, from Berhampur on Sunday and another suspect, Amritraj Sahoo, 26, from Cuttack on Monday.

On June 17, Priyaranjan Jenastation then took up the case acting on a complaint lodged by the father of the deceased. The police came to know that two persons were following Priyaranjan in another two-wheeler from OMP Square. The duo stopped Priyaranjan on an isolated stretch near Banabidyadharpur for committing robbery. They also assaulted him on the back of his head with a screwdriver when he tried to resist the robbery attempt.
