At last week’s sixth foundation day celebrations of Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar, the authorities revealed plans to shift to their new campus in Arugul by July. The Telegraph travels to the Arugul campus near Jatni to track progress of ongoing work

Single-seater boys’ hostel

Specifications: The four blocks will have 800 seats. Of these, two blocks with a capacity to accommodate 400 students will be handed over in April. The other two will be complete in June

Guest house, staff community and shopping centres

Specifications: Guesthouse with 48 quarters and shopping centre with six outlets, besides staff community centre for use during functions

Specifications: Forty quarters in seven floors

Specifications: This block will have schools, central research and instrumentation facilities, students’ activity centre, museum and art gallery
