Bhubaneswar: The proposed medical college at Koraput will be named after Saheed Laxman Naik. Health and family welfare minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak said the construction work of the medical college would be completed by 2017.

Bhubaneswar: The 30-year-old alleged sex worker from Kyrgyzstan who was rescued by Chandrasekharpur police tried to hurt herself by putting a blade on her mouth on Monday night. However, officials of the short stay home where she is currently staying managed to pull out the blade.

3D theatre

Bhubaneswar: The state government has decided to install a 3D theatre hall at the State Maritime Museum in Cuttack by June 2017. This was decided during a meeting conducted under the chairmanship of chief minister Naveen Patnaik at the secretariat on Tuesday. Around Rs 2 crore will be spent on the project. The entry fee to the museum will be fixed at Rs 60.
