Fake note

Sambalpur: Police on Monday arrested six members of an inter-district fake note racket from Modipada and seized Rs 11,700 and two bikes from them.  

Prisoner dies

Bargarh: An undertrial prisoner died while undergoing treatment at district headquarters hospital at Bargarh on Monday. The deceased, identified as Sukru, was a resident of Udhepali village under Ambabhona tehsil of the district.

Encephalitis

Malkangiri: Two more children died of Japanese encephalitis at Malkangiri district on Monday taking the toll to 95. The deceased have been identified as Jhansi Bunia and Bablu Halua.
