Mishra visit

Bhubaneswar: Prakash Mishra, director-general of the central reserved police force (CRPF), on Wednesday visited the Maoist-affected Koraput district and took stock of the security measures there. After meeting the officials, Mishra said a training camp would be set up and that more security forces were required in Nuapada and Kalahandi.

Bhubaneswar: Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday approved the constitution of media and social media departments of the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee. Kailash Chandra Acharya will head the departments while Kishore Chandra Patel will be the chairman of the social media department.

Cop shifted

Berhampur: Police on Wednesday shifted inspector in charge of Jagannathprasad police station Dibyalochan Behera following allegations of custodial death of a 40-year old man on Tuesday. The district human rights cell will investigate the case.
