Central team Temple heist KISS visit OTET results

Central team

Bhubaneswar: A Central team will arrive on Wednesday to make an on-the-spot assessment of the drought situation prevailing in the state. The 10-member team headed by joint secretary K. Srinivasan will visit the drought-hit districts of Nuapada, Kalahandi, Balangir and Bargarh on December 3 and 4. They will also have a discussion with the state government officials.

Temple heist

Cuttack: Thieves decamped with silver ornaments weighing over three kilos and two donation boxes from a Hanuman temple at Ranihat on Monday. The matter came to light after local residents found the locks of the temple broken in the wee hours of Tuesday. The role of an inter-district gang is suspected in the robbery.

KISS visit

Bhubaneswar: Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) has been included in the itinerary of winter study tour-cum-Bharat Darshan of Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration's annual training programme for IAS probationers. It is an important component of the Phase-1 training programme for IAS probationers.

OTET results

Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Education announced the results of the Odisha Teachers Eligibility Test (OTET) that was held on  September 27. 


President of BSE Dakshya Prasad Nanda said for Paper-1 in the Certified Teachers category, a total number of 56,504 students had appeared for the examination out of which 7,513 candidates qualified with a pass percentage of 13.29.ntervention of the revenue divisional commissioner (RDC) of northern division in the matter of transfer of land belonging to an SC/ST community member to a non-SC/ST. Adivasi Dalit Sena of Sambalpur, on Monday, took the matter to the notice of the RDC of the northern division and asked the administration to implement of the instruction issued to all the collectors of the division in 1998. Adivasi Dalt Sena, in a petition to the RDC, has requested to investigate into the matter and review the permission given for the transfer of SC/ST land to a non- SC ST.
